The Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson PACT Act of 2022 is the largest expansion of VA benefits in decades — grants permanent VA healthcare eligibility to 3.5 million post-9/11 veterans exposed to burn pits and toxic substances, and adds 20+ new presumptive service-connected conditions. As of March 5, 2024, ALL veterans with toxic exposures can enroll directly in VA healthcare without first filing a disability claim. Covers Gulf War era (Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Somalia, and surrounding areas), Agent Orange (Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, others), radiation exposure, and contaminated water at Camp Lejeune.
