Warrior Rising

501(c)(3) founded in 2015 by a decorated combat veteran and former Green Beret/Army Ranger to turn veterans into "vetrepreneurs." Built by veterans for veterans, funded in part through a grant agreement with the SBA, and open to veterans, active-duty service members, Guard and Reserve members, military spouses, and immediate family. Delivers a full training pathway rather than a single class: LaunchPoint (assessing a business idea), Warrior Academy (on-demand business-planning course), Warrior University (an eight-week live accelerator covering strategy, business-model design, customer discovery, and go-to-market), and Activate (a technology-focused MVP program run with the Boeing Center at Virginia Tech). Completing the training unlocks eligibility for an invite-only Business Shower, a pitch competition where selected founders compete for grants of up to $20,000 in non-dilutive funding. Since 2015 it has worked with more than 30,000 military-connected entrepreneurs and helped create and fund over 100 veteran-owned businesses. Free to participants; funding is competitive and not guaranteed.
