Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA)

The only national Vietnam veterans organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families. Goals are to promote and support the full range of issues important to Vietnam veterans, to create a distinct identity for that generation, and to change public perception of those who served. Founding principle and motto: never again will one generation of veterans abandon another. Maintains VA-accredited service representatives who assist with claims at no charge, and has been a leading voice on Agent Orange exposure, toxic exposure presumptives, and generational health effects research. Testifies annually before the joint House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committee VSO hearing.
