Team Red White & Blue (Team RWB)
Serves: Nationwide
Enriches the lives of veterans by connecting them to their communities through physical and social activity — group runs, workouts, hikes, and social events run by local chapters and an active app-based community across 190+ chapters. The fitness framing is the vehicle; the real product is belonging, the antidote to the isolation that follows many transitions. Open to veterans, service members, and civilian supporters alike. Free to join.
Origin & mission
Mike Erwin founded Team RWB in 2010 after recognizing that veteran isolation — not just PTSD — was a primary driver of veteran struggles. His insight: physical activity and community are medicine. Team RWB chapters organize local runs, rides, and events that create genuine friendship and belonging rather than programmatic support. The model is intentionally low-barrier: show up, move, belong.
