Florida Veterans Foundation

Established by the Florida Legislature as the 501(c)(3) Direct Support Organization of the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs — fills gaps the state government can't directly fund. Flagship program: a statewide Veterans Dental Program launched April 2025, renewed in 2026, providing no-cost dental exams, cleanings, fillings, and procedures through a network of selected nonprofits for veterans not covered by VA dental benefits. Funded by $1M Florida Legislature appropriation (HB 635-2023). Eligibility: Florida residents who served in the U.S. Armed Forces or National Guard meeting income criteria. Also funds veteran benefits education, housing initiatives, and community partner grants.
